Simba the Tiger

On Wendesday, Signe's pre-school had a pot luck with entertainment. The show was a circus, put on by the kids. It was barely 10 minutes long, but very memorable. My favorite part was when this not-so-good photo was taken. Signe had noticed me in the audience, and kept waving & talking to me until she was sure I noticed. The other kids did the same thing to their parents. It was truly adorable. Each child got to choose what they wanted to be and helped with the "stage" name. Signe selected Simba the Tiger. (I don't think she knows that Simba means lion in Swahili.) She really loved her tiger costume and was disappointed that it was borrowed from the elementary school and she didn't get to bring it home. (I think that Mommy may be making a tiger costume in the near future.)

The horse Signe is wearing was for another girl in the classes part in the skit. But Signe had a grand time trying it out. It is really a pretty fun little get up.

Anni is such a music lover, but isn't that big into TV. That has changed in the last few weeks due to a video tape we checked out at the library. It's 30 minutes of silly songs from Sesame Street. She will watch the ENTIRE thing without being distracted. The best part is that it is old songs. Some of the songs are from the 70s. My favorite is James Taylor singing Jellyman Kelly. These songs really take me back to back to my childhood, which is so fun to share with our girls. (Photo is just a recent cute one.)
