Anni's tongue that is. It's due to a dose of Gentian Violet for thrush, a form of yeast infection. It is very common in babies and easily treated. We decided to use the Gentian Violet because it was simpler than antiboitics, one dose and your done. The side effect is the purpleness, and it's REALLY purple. Her entire mouth was purple for a couple of days. It even stained one of her binkys. Lucky, we didn't get it on any clothes. Though Mommy got a little "stained" from nursing.
