Wednesday morning, while we were waiting out our 2-hour snow delay, I heard Anni moving a chair. This isn't an unusual sound, so I wasn't alarmed. (She is quite proficient at moving chairs & stools to get what she wants.) Then I realized that she was in the kitchen. I went to check on her and found her like this.
She had gotten a candy cane from the top tier of the fruit basket. As you can see she was quite delighted with herself. Then she tried to get the cookies off the counter. This little gal had a sweet tooth. I did everything I could to satisfy hear sweet tooth with good things - yogurt (I even put sprinkles on top), dry cereal, trail mix with little carob chips. Finally she agreed to a clementine, after I offered it a dozen times. Oranges are her favorite. I was pretty sure they'd do the trick, but just had to convince her. And you know what, it worked!
